Born in South Bend, Ind. to Willam Walker and Gertrude E. Ten Eyck. Mr. Walker worked for and retired from Southern Bell and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sanford.
He is survived by son: Gary Craig Walker. daughters: laura A. Walker and Wendy Leigh Parson.Sister: Shirley Eileen Henstridge. Grandchildren: Tarek Kasmi, Susannah Abu Suwa, Jamie Ball, Caroline Parson, William Parson. One greatgrand child: Atticus Ball. Richard was predeceased by his Wife Mona in 2009.
Memorial Services will be held Sunday June 24 at 1:30 p.m. in the Gramkow Chapel with The Reverend Richard Wagoner officiating.
Gramkow Funeral Home, Sanford, is in charge of all arrangements.
