LAKE MARY — The Orlando Area Chrysler Dealers will present the 20th annual Lake Mary – Heathrow Festival of the Arts, Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The event will be held at Colonial TownPark in Lake Mary.
The festival is a world-class juried art show, and has over 200 artists in categories such as paintings (oils, acrylics, watercolors and pastels), Graphics & Drawings, Photography, Sculpture, glass, Pottery, Jewelry, Wood, Mixed Media and Fine Crafts.
Elementary, Middle and High Schools from throughout Seminole County will be displaying over 1,800 pieces of student artwork in a variety of mediums.
Art teachers from Seminole County Art Education Association will be providing free art activities for the children, both days, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The Kid’s Activity area will also include Sand Art, pony rides, face painting, a rock climbing wall, and Little Red Fire Engine rides.
The Lake Mary – Heathrow Festival of the Arts is a 501C4 non-profit organization which raises money through sponsorships and donations awarding college scholarships to local students desiring a higher education.
This year the festival will host free concerts on the main stage. Friday night, Carlene Mitchell N-Fusion takes the stage at 8 p.m. playing jazz, R&B, funk, Reggae and Latin. Saturday night listen to the sounds of Toxic Audio, starting at 7:30 p.m.
The events are all free to the public. On site parking is available for a $5 donation. Free parking with free shuttle service is available at the 701 building parking lot on International Parkway.
