Seminole County investigators arrested a second Sanford man today for his involvement in the shooting and killing of another man Friday evening at Mullet Park in Geneva.

Investigators have now charged Dalton Gage Evans, 21, with murder in the second-degree, shooting into an occupied vehicle and tampering with evidence for his involvement in the homicide of 18-year-old Brandon Lee McGolrick.

Evans arrest came only three days after Cale Matthew Miller, 22, of Sanford, was charged with the homicide of McGolrick.

Public Information Officer Kim Cannaday said multiple cars were at Mullet Lake Park around 11:20 p.m. Friday when gunfire was exchanged. A round fired by Miller, she said, struck McGolrick, a passenger in a vehicle attempting to flee the scene.

McGolrick was transported to the Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford but died as a result of his injuries.

Both Miller and Evans are now in the Seminole County jail without bond. Evans is scheduled for his first appearance Wednesday morning at 9 a.m.
