Early voting will be available at the following locations Saturday, Oct. 27 through Saturday, Nov. 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.:
• Elections Office in Sanford, 1500 E. Airport Blvd., Sanford, Florida 32773
• Jean Rhein Central Branch Library, 215 N. Oxford Road, Casselberry, Florida 32707
• Northwest Branch Library, 580 Greenway Blvd., Lake Mary, Florida 32746
• West Branch Library, 245 N. Hunt Club Blvd., Longwood, Florida 32779
• East Branch Library, 310 Division Street, Oviedo, Florida 32765
The number of people requesting and turning in absentee ballots in Seminole County has risen drastically from the last presidential election. Supervisor of Elections Mike Ertel said 55,000 requested absentee ballots this year – mare than ever before.
With nearly two weeks before Election Day Ertel said about 24,000 absentee ballots have been returned. During the 2008 presidential election the number was almost half that.
Ertel has been encouraging voters to hit the polls early this year due to the lengthy ballot.
