Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center came alive with Saturday night’s performance of Johnny Cash and Friends. Truly a great show with tributes to great legends: Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn, performed by three talented impersonators.

Headlining the show was Keith Coleman as Johnny Cash. Keith has traveled throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe. He has the natural looks of the Man in Black and his vocal impressions are right on. Coleman has performed for more than 25 years with the Las Vegas Revue Show and has performed with the Hollywood On Tour group throughout the U.S.

Following in the evening with Mike Brilhaute who is better known as Mike T, captured the essence of Roy Orbison in song, style and appearance. This is quite the task since Orbison had a three to four-octave range, combined with his impassioned voice and complex musical arrangements.

These men in their performances added a plus with interesting stories of where and how certain songs came about, a little history of themselves or why they might be performing in a certain way.

The delight of the evening was Donna Moore who multi-tasked with performances and costume changes as Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn. Funny and delightful she engaged the audience throughout the evening. Moore began her career in the music industry and fronted several popular rock bands touring the US. She is a veteran of the theatre and performed in Las Vegas and Atlantic City as celebrities Cher and Patsy Cline. Now a regular at the Villages, FL she performs her one woman show weekly impersonating 16 celebrities.

Rocking the house Saturday night was Johnny Cash fan Martha Garrison who was surprised by her daughter with tickets to see this fun show. Martha will be celebrating her 90th birthday in December and got the opportunity to have her picture taken with the performers. She said she had a great time and was totally surprised as to how much the performers looked and sounded like their characters.
